1972 Ford Mustang 5390 1

Description
This is my 1972 Mustang Grande with a 351 Cleveland, 4 barrel Holley, Magna Flow Duals, All original numbers Matching except the Duals. This was a very special barn find for me it started when i had a show to assemble in Arizona. I had a piece of eqiupment i had to deliver to this show. After install at the show the owner of the company i was working for took me to dinner and we started talking about cars and told me of his 1968 Camaro he had and if i wanted to see it. So after dinner we went to his Building to show me the Camaro. As we talked about it i noticed a cover on a car at the back of building tires low and stuff stacked on it. I asked about it and he told me that his dad had bought the car new for his sister to go to college in and when she quit he took it from her and parked it in the building and left it. I asked if i could uncover it and found a neat 1972 Mustang with covers on seats in windows etc. Vinyl top had problems but that looked like the only problems i noticed. I asked if his dad would be interested in selling it. He stated he would ask his dad before i left for home. Two days later the dad came and got me and asked if was serious i said yes he told me he would let me know a price. To make this short the son wanted to buy equipment and i gave him a 2500.00 price on equipment. Before i left he told me he would trade me equipment for the car. As i had trailer with me and i did not need eqiupment i said ok. Spent that evening cleaned carb and gas Tank. Bought a new battery and checked all fluids etc. Put new gas in and guess what it came to life and even idled after warm up. I brought it home had the top redone and new rims and tires and have driven it ever since. Thanks for looking and enjoy the pictures.

I hope you enjoy this victory, your effort for preserving the purity of this contest is unmistakable and should stand as the gold standard to be emulated by all others in future contests. I must say that your victory is a ray of hope for all others who have never made it to the top. Yours is a divine road to be followed for all those who were picked last for dodge ball, who never got the girl in high school, who never won a single bowling or a lowly participation trophy. The moral is ...If you just stay persistent and do not have a compass you can reach the top of the heap no matter what equipment you posses. Stay golden pony boy! Congrats!

To my rival in the 1970's for which I am currently in 5th place I would like to compliment you and your car for doing so well in this event, Maybe there will come a day we may meet at a car show, and then we will compete again and the judging will be solely based on our vehicles rather than based on the amount of people we know that are willing to log in, register, and vote for us.Till we meet again, please take care of yourself and that car of yours.... Sincerely Matt the TUNEMAN Good Luck
